Girls Golf College Scholarships: February 2008

Read first: I sincerely hope you find the girls golf scholarship information you're looking for here. If you're trying to figure out (1) what scores you have to shoot to get a scholarship, (2) how to maximize your exposure for college golf coaches, or even just trying to (3) find all of the girls college golf teams in your area those things are all in this site. If you have any questions or there's content you'd like to see on here just leave a comment and I'll personally get back to you and find the answers to your questions. This site is monitored daily by a real person.

I've been getting a lot of questions and since I don't have time to answer all of them I'm referring everyone to a book that answers what I'm being asked, including: contact information for every women's college golf coach/program, a sample letter to send them, etc. You can get the book with all the information about girls college golf scholarships here (link opens to the book's website). This is the only resource that I recommend and I genuinely think that if it gets you even 1% closer to getting a scholarship then it's money well spent and worth the investment. If you're not looking to spend any money, there's plenty of free information on this blog that should answer pretty much all of your questions. If you don't see the answers to your questions the posts, then ask them in the comments sections and I'll answer them ASAP. I"m trying to post a couple of times a week anyway, so that'll give me something to talk about.

North Idaho College is located in (what I can only assume is) charming Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. To be perfectly honest, the only things I know about Coeur d'Alene, Idaho are that it's a city in Idaho that has a junior college girls golf team. It might be a lovely place to get some scholarship money.

Niagara County Community College is actually not in Niagara Falls, New York, but rather in Sanborn, New York. This is a junior college providing girls golf scholarships for the team they field.

Johnson Community College is in beautiful North Carolina. The most underrated state as far as I'm concerned. I don't personally know anything about Smithfield, North Carolina where Johnston Community College is located, but I imagine it's a fine place.

For father's of young duaghters:

Buy your daughter a set of golf clubs and introduce her to the game early on in life. The clubs don't have to be expensive or even new. Find something at a garage sale, on ebay, at a used sporting goods store, or on Craigslist. An appreciation for the game of golf doesn't have to result in a scholarship to be a success. Golf is a lifetime sport that she can enjoy with her friend into old age, an activity she can do with the husband she'll someday meet, and a tool to even the field in the business world where many deals are closed on golf courses. Even if the sport is something that you don't know a great deal about at the moment give your child a leg up in life and a better foundation than you had by introducing her to the game of golf.
